Device Management

2.1 Adding & Removing Devices #

To add a new device:

  • Tap Add Device and select the device category (e.g., Robotic Pool Cleaner, Pool Equipment, Lighting, Security Devices).
  • Follow the in-app prompts to connect the device to your WiFi or Bluetooth.
  • Assign the device to a room for easier control.

To remove a device:

  • Go to Device Settings and tap Remove Device.
  • Confirm the action to ensure the device is removed from your account.
  • If needed, reset the device before re-pairing it.

2.2 Creating Rooms & Organizing Devices #

  • Use the Rooms feature to group your devices based on their location (e.g., Outdoor Pool Area, Living Room, Kitchen).
  • You can create custom rooms and assign devices accordingly.
  • Reorder or rename rooms for better navigation.

2.3 Monitoring Device Status & Performance #

  • View real-time device status within the Illuminex App Dashboard.
  • Check battery life, signal strength, and device uptime.
  • Set up device health alerts to notify you of maintenance needs.

2.4 Resetting & Reconnecting Devices #

  • If a device is unresponsive, try resetting it by holding the reset button for 5-10 seconds.
  • Follow the pairing steps again to reconnect it to the app.
  • If connection issues persist, check router settings or firmware updates.
