AquaClear Cartridge Filter

AquaClear cartridge filters use pleated polyester to capture particles down to 10–20 microns.

• Sizes: 200, 425, and 525 sq ft

• Compatibility: Freshwater and saltwater

• No backwashing — saves water and chemicals

1. Mount the filter on a level surface

2. Plumb inlet from pump and outlet to return line

3. Install pressure gauge

4. Open the air bleeder, turn on the pump, close once water flows

5. Note the starting clean pressure for future reference

• Rinse: Every 4–6 weeks during pool season

• Deep clean (soak): Every 3 months in a filter cleaner solution

• Replace cartridge: Every 1–2 years (sooner with heavy use)

Indicator: When the pressure gauge reads 7–10 psi above clean starting pressure, it's time to clean.

Cloudy water despite filter running: Cartridge may be clogged or near end of life.

High pressure: Clean or replace cartridge.

Low pressure: Check for blockages on suction side or air leak.
