Automation System Compatibility
The AquaPump manual references RS485 integration with Pentair, Jandy, and Hayward — but the cable requirements differ between systems. This 2-wire cable is confirmed for Pentair. Jandy and Hayward require the separate 3-wire RS485 cable.
Pentair Automation
Verified 2-Wire ConnectionThis LU-RS485VS2 2-wire cable is the confirmed Pentair RS485 connection cable for compatible AquaPump Variable Speed pumps.
Jandy Automation
Requires 3-Wire CableJandy automation uses a separate 3-wire RS485 signal cable (LU-RS485VS3), sold separately. This 2-wire cable is not the Jandy cable.
Hayward Automation
Requires 3-Wire CableHayward automation requires a separate 3-wire RS485 cable and configuration as specified in the AquaPump manual. Do not use this 2-wire cable for Hayward.
