The Replaceable Element Inside AquaClear 525
The cartridge installs inside the AquaClear LU-CF525 filter housing and provides the replaceable filtration surface used by the cartridge-filter system.
It can be removed for approved cleaning, inspection and replacement without replacing the complete filter assembly.
This Is a Replacement Cartridge — Not the Complete Filter
The parent LU-CF525 complete filter has its own specifications (filtration area, max flow rate, inlet/outlet size, recommended pool capacity). These are complete-filter specifications and are not presented as specifications of the replacement cartridge unless separately verified.
Designed for AquaClear 525
This cartridge is model-specific to LU-CF525. It does not fit AquaClear LU-CF200 or LU-CF425 — those filters use dedicated replacement cartridges LU-CFE200 and LU-CFE425 respectively.

Cleaning & Cartridge Care
Shut Down the System
Turn off the circulation pump before opening the filter.
Relieve Filter Pressure
Fully relieve pressure from the filtration system according to the current AquaClear instructions.
Access the Cartridge
Open the filter housing using the approved LU-CF525 service procedure.
Inspect & Clean
Inspect and clean the cartridge according to the current AquaClear maintenance instructions.
Replace When Required
Install LU-CFE525 when the approved AquaClear 525 replacement cartridge is required.
Cleaning and replacement frequency depends on pool use, debris load, system operation, and cartridge condition. No fixed interval is published unless approved AquaClear documentation provides one. Do not invent acid-cleaning procedures, chemical soaking ratios, pressure-washer instructions, or a pressure-rise threshold (e.g. "clean at 8 PSI above starting pressure") unless the current AquaClear manual explicitly gives that value.
When Should the Cartridge Be Replaced?
Visible Damage
Inspect the cartridge for torn media, damaged pleats or other visible physical deterioration.
Reduced Serviceability
If the cartridge can no longer be properly cleaned or maintained according to the AquaClear instructions, replacement may be required.
Correct Replacement
Use LU-CFE525 when replacing the cartridge element in AquaClear LU-CF525.
Depressurize Before Opening the Filter
Turn off the circulation pump and fully relieve pressure from the filtration system before opening the AquaClear filter housing or removing the cartridge.
Follow the current AquaClear LU-CF525 service instructions.
Never loosen or remove the filter clamp while the system is pressurized.
Never open the filter housing while the pump is running.
